22 December 2021

Kinshasa, D.R. Congo - December 2021 - On the occasion of the second anniversary of the Senior Salesian Missionary Group (GMSS), on 19 December, the young members of the group, visited the elderly of the "Bolingo" hospice of the "Saint Achille Kiwanuka" parish, in the district of Kingabwa, in the municipality of Limete. After Mass in the parish, the young people went to the hospice, where they offered some donations, the result of a collection they had made, and then shared a meal with the elderly and a moment of celebration. The "GMSS" brings together young people from the Salesian Province of Africa Congo Congo (ACC), most of whom are students, while others have finished their studies and are working. The group's goal is to spread Don Bosco's missionary enthusiasm to accompany young people in daily life and in the growth of faith and thus transmit the fundamental elements of every missionary: love and imitation of Christ, the putting into practice of the Gospel message in availability, self-giving, service, and charity.
