Fr Bartłomiej Polański was born in Oleśnica, Poland, on March 21, 1982. He entered the novitiate in Kopiec on August 27, 2001, where he made his first religious vows on September 8, 2002, and his perpetual vows on September 7, 2008, and was ordained a priest in Wroclaw on May 22, 2010.
After working in the novitiate as an Associate of the Master of Novices, in the years 2011-2018 he served in pastoral ministry in Środa Śląska. Since 2018 he has been the Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry and since 2019 the Provincial Councilor.
The PLO Province, of which Fr Polański will become the eighth Superior, was erected in 1979 and currently has 177 Salesians and two novices, and animates 23 canonically erected works.
Fr Polański will succeed Fr Jaroslaw Pizon, who has been in office since 2016, in the post.
