Jerusalem - Archaeological excursion of "Studium Theologicum Salesianum" students together with Fr Ivo Coelho

Jerusalem - October 2021 - On October 26, most of the students of the "Studium Theologicum Salesianum" (STS) in Jerusalem, together with Fr Ivo Coelho, General Councilor for Formation, carried out an archaeological excursion in the northern part of Israel. The places visited during the trip, led by Fr Piotr, STS professor, were: the fortress of Nimrod, built in the 13th century on a peak near Mount Hermon, the highest mountain in Israel; the Hermon stream, or Banias, one of the sources of the Jordan River; and the Tel Dan archaeological site, one of the largest and oldest in the country, with its 5,000-year-old remains.
