23 July 2021

Goma, D.R. Congo - July 2021 – On July 22, the students of the first years of humanistic disciplines of the "Don Bosco Ngangi" Institute participated in a meeting to raise awareness on gender-based violence. The event was facilitated by three police gendarmes of the UN Mission in Congo based in Goma. The session was preceded by two representations relating to the awareness message. The goal of this activity is to allow young students to identify the different forms of gender-based violence and make them protagonists of the eradication of various practices that often risk marginalizing women and girls within families. At the end of the session the students were invited to spread the acquired knowledge in their families.
