Rondonópolis, Brazil - June 4, 2021 - On June 2, 1996, the "Sons of Don Bosco Oratory" was born in Rondonópolis; to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its foundation, an eventful day was held at the oratory: it began with breakfast in the courtyard in the presence of Fr Ricardo Carlos, Provincial of the Salesian Campo Grande Province (BCG), Fr Vanderson de Souza Gomes, parish priest, Fr Danilo Rinaldi, Director of the oratory, the Salesian Brother Mario Bordignon, the collaborators of the oratory, and the councilor Cláudio da Farmácia, a great supporter of the institution. In the afternoon, food baskets were delivered to the families assisted by the oratory, thanks to the support of Senator Wellington Fagundes. Then the Eucharist was celebrated, presided over by Fr Ricardo Carlos, at the end of which a video reportage on the oratory's 25th anniversary was presented, produced by the BCG Province Social Communication team. The municipality of Rondonópolis then gave the Salesians a "Motion of Applause" for the services rendered to the city community through the oratory, and Fr Ricardo Carlos received the title of "Rondonopolitano Citizen".
