Ljubljana, Slovenia - May 2021 - On the occasion of the feast day of St. Dominic Savio, patron saint of altar servers, four new boys were welcomed into the group of ministers of the Salesian parish and shrine of Mary Help of Christians. The new altar servers have been preparing for this act for more than a year. The group has about thirty altar boys, from the youngest to university students, and has a long tradition in both altar service and participation in the life of the Salesian youth center and its programs. The Mass, prepared by the altar boys themselves, was presided over by the Director of the youth center Fr Janez Suhoveršnik, SDB, while the rite of acceptance into the group was celebrated by the parish priest Fr Mirko Simončič, SDB.
