Thailand - Musical event for students of "Don Bosco Vitthaya" school

22 March 2021

Udonthani, Thailand - March 2021 - Don Bosco used to say: “A Salesian house without music is like a body without a soul”. This is why the Salesian schools of Thailand try to encourage students to practice their musical skills. The "Don Bosco Vitthaya" school, in Udonthani, in the north-east of the country, encourages students to love various types of music through learning in the classroom and in musical groups, so that they can exercise their skills according to their interests. Fr Thomas Smith Daengampan, the Director of the school, initiated a special activity, entitled "Music as a method of learning", which took place in the Institute's meeting room. During the event, the students played both in an orchestra and in groups with ethnic, traditional and modern musical instruments, drums, percussion, animation music, flag wavers ... The event was an opportunity for the three thousand students to love and appreciate music more.
