From the messages received from the provinces, it is evident how these aids for help in reading and assimilation are valued by many communities, adapting them to the rhythms and methods most suited to each provincial or local context.
The second part concerns more closely the dynamics of daily life of the Salesian community and the service of animation and guidance that the Rector carries out within it. The first subtitle is the following: “Animator and Guardian of the Salesian consecrated identity”. The term "guardian of the charism" was the one that emerged most frequently in the 316 contributions that came from all seven regions, by groups of rectors, provincial councils and individual confreres. It was the starting material for the elaboration of the text.
In the video, the councilors for formation and for the missions, the regional councilors of Africa and Madagascar, the Mediterranean, South Asia, Central and Northern Europe present what it means to be a spiritual guide of the community (mystics), an animator of communion and co-responsibility (prophets) , responsible for the apostolic mission (servants).
The second part also focuses on very concrete aspects of the life of Salesian houses, tools and structures for animation, such as the local council, the assembly of the confreres, the community and personal project, the attention for young confreres and for older ones.
It is hoped that in these first months of the year sufficient space can be devoted to the reading and assimilation of this central part of the text. In addition to the video, other materials will be sent (PowerPoint, charts for the community ...) to encourage, above all, moments of reflection and community sharing.
