Messina, Italy - November 2020 – Broadcast on November 27, live on YouTube, was the 2020-2021 Academic Year of the Theological Institute “San Tommaso” and of the Higher School of Bioethics and Sexology of Messina. The Archbishop of Messina, Mons. Giovanni Accolla, and the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Sicily (ISI), Fr Giovanni D'Andrea, introduced the event. The solemn Prolusion with the Lectio Magistralis was given by the Dean of the Faculty of Theology of the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS), Fr Antonio Escudero Cabello, on the theme “Fratelli tutti: in dialogue with Francis on the vision and urgency of the world.” The Rector of the Theological Institute and the Higher School of Bioethics, Fr Giovanni Russo, SDB, then presented his report on the state of the two academic entities and on the fraternal climate of what is a world-wide study community.
