Paranaque, Filppine - October 2020 - On 24 October six Salesians were ordained deacons in the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians: Cyril Vincent Noel, FIN Province; Arnel Jason Mengote, FIS Province; Leo Polutan, FIS Province; Reynante Sabelita, FIS Province; Antonio Maria Jose Gutteress, TLS Vice Province, and Simon Louis, MYM Vice Province. The ceremony, which took place according to the government protocols for the containment of the pandemic, was presided over by Msgr. Broderick Pabillo, Apostolic Administrator of Manila, in the presence of Fr Gerry Martin, FIN Provincial, and Fr Renato Molina, Director of the Salesian community “Seminaryo ng Don Bosco” in Paranaque.
