DBTech Africa conducts a ‘Quality Management System Framework’ Training
Don Bosco Tech Africa (DBTA) is in the process of developing a “TVET Providers Quality Management System Framework (QMSF)” that will later guide the process of developing individual Don Bosco TVET Quality Management System (QMS) in the Africa – Madagascar Region. The organisation is conducting a five (5) day online training on “Quality Management System” which kicked off on Monday 10th August 2020.
The objective of this training is to build a pool of quality champions who will contribute to the formulation of QMSF and later work as multipliers in their respective Provinces and countries for developing and implementing the Quality Management System for the TVET Centers.
The training is being conducted by Sleek Management Consultancy, with ten (10) participants drawn from; AET, AFE, AFE-SU, AFO, AGL, MDG, MOZ and ZMB Provinces. These training sessions are also being attended by the DBTA team, among them; Fr. TJ George (Executive Director), Br. John Njuguna (Deputy Director), Jean Nepo and Joseph Kamau (both DBTA Project Officers).
Among the key topics being explored during this training are;
- Fundamentals & Evolution of Quality Management
- Introduction to ISO 9000 Standards & QMS Concepts
- Quality Management Principles
- Requirements of ISO 9001: 2015
- Steps to Certification to ISO 9001:2015
The participants are expected to closely work with DBTA team and the Consultant in developing the QMSF as a way of reinforcing their skills and knowledge.
