Bombo, Uganda - August 2020 - The "Don Bosco" Salesian community in Bombo has benefited from clean energy since the beginning of the month, thanks to the installation of a new solar system with a capacity of 7.45kw. The installation and activation of the plant were carried out between 3 and 7 August last by some formators of the Salesian Vocational Training Centers - in Bombo, and in Palabek and Kamuli - two other works that will be supplied with similar equipment in the coming months. The initiative is part of a project initiated by the NGO "Jugend Eine Welt" with the support of the Austrian Development Cooperation and aims to promote the use of renewable energies with double benefits: for the environment and for the budget of the Salesian works.
