Slovenia - Provincial meeting of the Salesians
Ljubljana, Slovenia - About 50 Salesians from the Province of Slovenia (SLO) gathered on June 22 in the provincial center in Ljubljana Rakovnik to meet again after the long lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, do a formative provincial meeting and to celebrate significant anniversaries and jubilees of priesthood and religious profession. The Salesians shared the anxieties and feelings of the quarantine period and also the new ways of the pastoral mission in light of the changes in the world. The SLO Provincial, Fr Marko Košnik, and the Delegate to the 28th General Chapter, Fr Bogdan Kolar, spoke extensively about the life and work of the GC28, presenting guidelines and themes. Then, at the sanctuary of Mary Help of Christians, Msgr. Peter Štumpf SDB, bishop of Murska Sobota, presided over Eucharistic adoration and Mass, with homages for the anniversaries of the life, priesthood and religious life celebrated by various Salesians.
