(ANS - Rome) - Yesterday, 2 February. the documentary "Alto el fuego" (Ceasefire) was shown in Rome to a large audience of journalists. The film was made by "Misiones Salesianas" in Madrid in collaboration with the Salesian House "Ciudad Don Bosco" in Medellin, Colombia. After the screening of the documentary, many questions were put to the two former child soldiers present, Manuel and Catalina (fictitious names). "Catalina, did you decide to join FARC? Why did you leave it?" - "Yes. I decided to join and I decided to leave … "
(ANS – Brussels) – On the occasion of the Feast of Don Bosco, Don Bosco International has organized for the first time, an evening reception in partnership with the Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Community (COMECE) to celebrate Don Bosco. This new initiative counted on the presence of Fr. Fabio Attard, President of DBI.
(ANS – Attard) – On 26th and 27th January, Fr. Antoine Farrugia and Ángel Gudiña have taken part in the Conference “Lost in Migration”, organized by the Maltese President’s Foundation for the Well-being of Society together with Missing Children Europe. The Conference was focused on the terrifying phenomenon of the 10,000 minors being unaccounted for in Europe last year, as Director of Europol, Mr. Rob Wainwright reported upon.

They are all alumni of the reputed Don Bosco High School at Matunga, Mumbai. While the trio took the mass medium to greater heights in their own right to entertain and drive home a lesson or two, their monk mentors, known as the Salesian priests of the Catholic Church have also started reaching out to the masses through the medium of the films.
