The programme for November 2025 includes, from 8 to 9 November, two days of meetings for young people who have had the summer missionary experience, coming from the SDB and FMA Provinces of Italy, with the culminating moment of a Mass in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin and the missionary mandate to young people.
The National Missionary Animation Team (ENAM) IS working on the preparation of the November 2025 appointments with a heartfelt spirit of collaboration and shared mission between Salesians, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and young people.
Sunday 9 November 2025 will see the arrival of Delegates for Missionary Animation (PDMA) from all Salesian Provinces, who will have three days of meetings dedicated to them. The central moment of the celebration will be the missionary sending on 11 November, 150 years after the first Salesian missionary expedition of 1875.
On 12 November the PDMAs and the new missionaries will move to Genoa, where they will visit the ancient port, recalling the missionaries who departed from there by ship. After the Eucharistic celebration, participants will move to the Salesian house in Sampierdarena, Genoa and attend the inauguration of the new Museum of Missionary Expeditions which is now under final preparation by the ICC Circumscription. The World Mission Sector Advisory Council will be held in Valdocco, Turin, from 13 to 16 November.
In addition to these days in November, it is expected that the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the first Salesian missionary expedition will also take place at the provincial level, because the primary objective of this event is to trigger a process to keep the missionary spirit and enthusiasm alive in the Salesian Congregation, and to promote greater missionary zeal and greater generosity among the Salesians and the entire Educative and Pastoral Community.
