(ANS – Chuma) – In recent months, 80 indigenous women from the Province of Muñecas, in Bolivia, have participated in training courses supported by the Spanish Salesian NGO for development "Bosco Global" aimed at emancipating them, through training in leadership, self-care and shared responsibility in domestic care.

(ANS – Rome) – After the publication of the new document on the Salesian Youth Oratory-Centre on 8 December 2023,  prepared by the Salesian Youth Ministry Sector and the result of an in-depth process of reflection, updating and collaboration with all the Provinces, the Sector has scheduled the official presentation worldwide of this document: it will take place on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.

(ANS – Ashaiman) – "We were keen to pass through here, to visit this centre, to see what had been explained to us, the activity actually taking place here and, above all, because of the model it presents, because of the formula which is also a model for other situations": this is how the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella expressed himself, on Saturday, 6 April 2024, during his visit to the Don Bosco Salesian Vocational Training Centre in Ashaiman, not far from the Capital, Accra, in one of the last stages of his State Visit to West Africa.

(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins humanitarian and other international organizations in honoring World Health Day on April 7. In 1948, the World Health Organization (WHO) held the First World Health Assembly and designated the day to mark the founding of WHO. The first World Health Day was held in 1950. Every year it serves as an opportunity to draw worldwide attention to a particular theme of importance related to global health.

(ANS – New Rochelle) - Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins humanitarian organizations and the international community in celebrating the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, which is celebrated each year on April 6. The United Nations General Assembly designated the day in 2013, and it has been celebrated each year since 2014. The adoption of this day signifies the increasing recognition by the U.N. of the positive influence that sports have on the advancement of human rights and on social and economic development.

(ANS – Mestre) – What does it mean to have a child with High Cognitive Potential? How do you recognise this "endowment"? What educational pathways and support methodologies exist to support particularly gifted children and their parents? In the commitment to educate and accompany all minors, the Salesians of the North-East Italy Province (INE) have decided to also pay attention to those boys and girls who show special gifts and abilities for their age, so that they can mature and express their full potential.
