The industrial giant of commercial vehicles will train and form teachers who will hold the courses and workshops within the new structure, providing them with all the tools, both theoretical and operational (thanks to the donation of an IVECO 682 vehicle). In this way, the young people who will attend the courses at the Salesian center will learn a strategic profession for that specific area of ​​Africa and Ethiopia, a crossroads of large-scale traffic of heavy vehicles transiting, in fact, from Makallè to reach different parts of Africa.

"We are thrilled that a giant like CNH Industrial and its IVECO brand have taken to heart a very important project for us: the TVET of Macallè is for us a strategic formation center, which today has always counted on several vocational training courses including motor mechanics, electrical engineering, machine tool mechanics, welding, cutting and sewing," said Fr Giuliano Giacomazzi, Salesian Provincial of Lombardo Emiliana and member of the Council of the non-profit "Opera Don Bosco" Foundation.

"In the last year," added the ILE Provincial, "we have expanded the structure with a view to implementing the training offer of the center, thanks to one of our benefactors. We can confirm that with IVECO, and with the efforts of many other people, we have given life to a great project that, I am sure, will be of great value for many young people."

"TechPro2" is a formation program launched for the first time in 2011 with CNH Industrial with the aim of encouraging the formation of new generations, giving them all the tools necessary to acquire useful skills for a brilliant professional future.

Macallè is the third site of the "TechPro2" program. At the end of the one-year course, the dozen students expected to attend this first edition will receive a special certification in "Vehicle Maintenance" and will also have the possibility of taking part in internships within the network of IVECO dealerships present in Ethiopia, where they will be able to gain valuable experience in the field and where they will have the opportunity to seek employment directly.
