Barcelona, ​​Spain - March 2017 - "Accompanying young people to respond freely to the call of Christ" is the theme of the European symposium on youth organized by the Council of European Bishops' Conferences (CCEE) which takes place in Barcelona March 28 to 31. The meeting involved 275 people, delegates from 35 European Bishops' Conferences working in five different pastoral areas: youth, catechesis, vocations, school, university. Delegates of the Salesian Family from various parts of the world included: Bishop Joaquim Mendes SDB, auxiliary bishop of Lisbon; Fr Rossano Sala, SDB, Delegate of the Holy See; Fr Marcelo Farfán, SDB, Coordinator of the Salesian Institutions of Higher Education (IUS); Fr Jacky Doyen, SDB, National Director of Youth Ministry of the Episcopal Conference of Turkey; Fr Michał Wocial, SDB, Vice-President of the Commission of Youth Ministry of Ukraine's Episcopal Conference of the Latin Church; Fr Radek Gottwald, SDB, National Director of Youth Ministry of the Czech Republic; Sr. Anna Zainchkovska, FMA, Secretary of the Youth Ministry Commission of the Episcopal Conference of the Latin Church in Ukraine; and one VDB.
