Assisi, Italy – 20 September 2016 - Pope Francis paid a visit to Assisi for the World Day of Prayer for Peace which came during the congress "Thirst for Peace. Religions and Cultures in Dialogue", organized by the Diocese of Assisi, the Franciscan Family and the Community of Sant'Egidio. The meeting was attended by 510 religious and political leaders.
