(ANS - Rome) – The Rector Major, Cardinal Archbishop Ángel Fernández Artime, the 10th Successor of Don Bosco, with the consent of the General Council, on 19 June 2024 nominated Rev. Fr Joseph Pampackal as the Provincial designate of the Salesian Province of St Francis de Sales, Dimapur (IND).

(ANS  Goma) – People who have been internally displaced and are living at Camp Don Bosco, located at the “Don Bosco Ngangi Youth Center” in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, had access to healthy nutrition thanks to a partnership between Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, and Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit Christian organization committed to “feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit.”

(ANS - Quetta) – From the time of Carlo Gastini onwards, the Past Pupils of Don Bosco have been an active and prominent pillar of the Salesian mission. And they are often even more so in places on the peripheries of the mission, where the good stirred up by the first Salesian houses is beginning to bear fruit in seeds of good that they do not want to lose This is clearly visible today in Pakistan, where the Past Pupils of Don Bosco are working to save a school founded by the late missionary Fr Pietro Zago from closing.

(ANS – San Lorenzo) – San Lorenzo, a Peruvian city founded in 1670, is the capital of the District of Barranca and the Province of Datem del Marañon, in the Peruvian Department of Loreto. With a population of around 17,000, its main streets are lined with shops and restaurants offering diverse, good food.

(ANS – Bangalore) – Don Bosco partners in various parts of Karnataka supported by BREADS, were on the streets on World Day Against Child Labour (WDACL) 12 June 2024, and throughout the week.  Accompanied by children rescued from difficult circumstances, children from Government and Private schools, and government officials and social workers, they spread the word about dispelling child labour from our society.

(ANS - Meruri) – On Tuesday, 18 June 2024, the Saint Alphonsus Maria Liguori Province of Campo Grande, Brazil (BCG) solemnly and significantly celebrated 130 years of missionary, educational and pastoral activity in the State of Mato Grosso, in the central-western area of the country. For this reason, the Salesians in the Meruri and São Marcos mission areas, in addition to missions in Primavera do Leste and Barra do Garças, found themselves before the cross planted in the ancient colony of Tachos, in Meruri.
