Siliguri, India – November 2023 –On 8 and 9 November, the Salesian Institute in Siliguri hosted a large inter-school cultural and musical festival entitled “Innovision” in support of world peace. The event began with an opening address by the Principal, Fr Babu Joseph, who prayed for flood victims in the nearby State of Sikkim and for victims of the earthquake in Nepal, populations affected by violence in the Sate of Manipur and for victims of the wars between Israel and Palestine and between Russia and Ukraine. The festival, now in its tenth edition, involved ten universities and a total of 200 students who performed in singing, rap music, painting, drawing, dancing and fashion shows. During the first day, the youth band “Obsession” from Darjeeling performed, while the second day was led by Dubai-based artist DJ Shelly.
