Australia – Integrating Salesian values into one's life: meeting of the Salesians in their Quinquennium
Sydney, Australia – October 2023 – The meeting of Salesians in their Quinquennium living in Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand and in different parts of Australia took place in recent days. The three-day meeting provided an opportunity for twelve Salesians to come together to revitalise their commitment to the Salesian mission and deepen their understanding of Don Bosco's charism. The meeting was also attended by Fr William Matthews, Superior of the Australia-Pacific Province (Aul), who reminded those present of the importance of Vocation and the meaning of Accompaniment and Spiritual Directors on their journey. Many other issues – such as the richness of Don Bosco's dream, the shortage of vocations and the need for a deeper knowledge of Don Bosco – were addressed during the three days, thanks to the interventions by Bro. Stan Rossato, SDB, Fr. Anthony Dung Nguyen, Provincial Delegate for Formation, and Fr. Peter Hoang, Provincial Delegate for Social Communication.
