Medellín, Colombia - April 2022 - On the afternoon of April 23, the Oratory Catechetical Youth Center of the Salesian presence "El Sufragio" of Medellín, a catechetical and missionary space, was inaugurated. With this initiative, the aim is to integrate the entire parish community and the sectors close to the boarding school and to initiate work of evangelization and social attention, capable of affecting the lives of the area’s children, adolescents, and young people. The Youth Center is an oratorian associative experience that seeks holiness in sports, human formation, spiritual formation, art, and recreation. The formation model is oriented according to the methodology of the three Pedagogies: Trust, Hope, and Covenant, where all work is focused on the culture of human rights and Salesian youth spirituality as tools for personal and social transformation. The families of 140 children, adolescents, and young people also participated in the opening course and their presence contributed to completing the formation.
