Belgium - Provincial Chapter of the Salesians of North Belgium and Holland
Drongen, Belgium - March 2022 - The 21st Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Province of North Belgium and Holland (BEN) was held from February 27 to March 3. The Provincial Chapter was opened by Fr. Dieter Verpoest, SDB, Regulator, followed by the report on the Province by Fr. Wilfried Wambeke, BEN Provincial. In the following days the Chapter members worked on four main themes: "In a Congregation where 'da mihi animas cetera tolle' is urgent"; "Absolute priority for the poorest, abandoned and defenseless"; "Together with Don Bosco workers in mission and formation"; "Guiding young people on their way to a sustainable future". During the sessions, Fonny Grootjans, Coordinator of the "Don Bosco Network", and Carine D'hondt, Head of Don Bosco Personnel, spoke as sector experts. On the last day, all the proposals of the Chapter members were grouped together and voted on.
