India - Yercaud's Retreat organizes blood donating drive
Yercaud, India - June 2020 - The Salesian community of the Yercaud "Retreat" post-novitiate, together with the young volunteers, organized a blood collection on 20 June. The shortage of blood in the blood banks of Yercaud and Salem is caused by donors' fear of contracting COVID-19, and this lack is especially affecting pregnant women in hospitals who need a cesarean delivery. 275 people joined the campaign, 61 of whom from the "Retreat" post-novitiate.
