Bolivia - Live broadcasting of Eucharist, experience in Bolivia and Latin America
Cochabamba, Bolivia - May 2020 - The Salesian Communication Office of Bolivia, in collaboration with the "San Juan Bosco" parish of Bogotá (Colombia), organized an online seminar aimed at priests and laypeople with the aim of sharing experiences, both personal and technical, on broadcasting the Eucharistic online via mobile phones. The initiative was born from the concern of various Salesians forced to improvise as cameramen, sound and light technicians. The response of those who administer the Salesian institutional pages and innovate the live broadcasts of parishes, universities and religious communities has been very positive. Many highlighted that it is indeed worth launching training spaces on online broadcasts to guide priests and laypeople on how to foster this service, as creativity is important in social networks, especially when it comes to reaching young people.
