The conference opened with a touching biblical reflection by Fr Martín Lasarte, which could be summarized with the expression: "Blind Man's Jump", that is he who jumps completely trusting to the words "Courage, Jesus calls you!" To risk doing a Bulletin today requires a lot of courage, immense passion and unshakable enthusiasm.
In the morning, Professor Nataša Govekar, who works at the Vatican Dicastery for Communication, demonstrated the importance of religious communication through images, on the Internet and specifically via social networks, as well as the need for control, sometimes difficult, of the reactions of recipients.
In the homily of the Mass, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, with his usual warmth, urged the Directors of the Salesian Bulletin to feel their own work as the continuation of Don Bosco's charism and the fulfillment of his dream of strong and wide-ranging communication.
The first day ended with the joint reflections in group work, and the thought of the "Salesian good night" offered by Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General of the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family.
