Italy - Feast of Don Bosco
Turin, Italy – 31 January 2017 - On the feast of Don Bosco, in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians there was the solemn Mass of the Salesian Family, presided over by Cardinal Óscar Rodríguez Maradiaga, SDB, bishop of Tegucigalpa, and concelebrated by Fr Francesco Cereda , Vicar of the Rector Major, and Fr Enrico Stasi, Superior of the District of Piemonte and Valle d'Aosta. In his homily, the Salesian Cardinal stressed the original purpose of the Salesian Cooperator according to Don Bosco's heart: the commitment of the laity in the world for the education of young people on the path to holiness. During the celebration, one hundred new Salesian Cooperators from Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta made their promise.
