Aware of the power and opportunities of digital media, since Christmas 2012 "Don Mickey" has also been sharing his videos online through his YouTube channel called "Gospel Magic."
To date, July 2022, there are no less than 23 short videos (average length of 6 minutes) in which the Salesian performs funny tricks and skits are recorded on the channel. Most of these videos were filmed during some Salesian Family events, and some even had the Rector Major among the passionate viewers; others, however, were made in the "studio" built by Fr. Muramatsu in the Nakatsu community.
From his words, one can fully understand the long journey in the "Ministry of Gospel Magic," which began in childhood and was motivated by the Salesian audience, both youth and adult.
Fr. Mickey's persistence in this apostolate is the main learning lesson. Fr. Muramatsu never gives up and is always learning new magic tricks to make the Salesian Family and the youth joyful, even finding some "disciples" among the younger generation of Salesians in Japan, who have witnessed "the magic of the Gospel" many times.
Fr. Muramatsu, at the same time, works and carries out his mission like all his confreres: as mentioned above, he is Rector of Nakatsu, where he animates the community in which he lives with three Salesian coadjutors - Br. Arturo Tojo, Br. Ludovico Yamada, and Br. Francesco Fukagawa - and a Salesian priest, Fr. Carmelo Simoncelli. The Salesian house is one of two social works of the Japan Province, is dedicated to St. Joseph, started its activities back in 1933 and is dedicated to work with at-risk youth; the second is located in Tokyo – Kodaira.
