Porszewice, Poland - April 2022 - From April 19-23 in Porszewice, near Łódź, the Provincial Chapter of the Salesians of the "St. Stanislaus Kostka" Province of Warsaw (PLE) will take place on the theme: "Making our life a 'Salesian sacrament' of presence". The Provincial Chapter is "a time of special flexibility, it is a gift of the Holy Spirit, and it is a time of courage related to possible changes," emphasized Fr Tadeusz Jarecki, SDB, PLE Provincial. The meeting’s purpose is to help draw the lines of action for the coming years and, at the same time, to make the necessary changes according to the spiritual discernment carried out in light of the charism of St. John Bosco. The Salesians are thus reflecting on how to give substance to the Salesian charism in concrete reality, also in light of the war in Ukraine and the wide Salesian involvement in operations to help refugees. The Chapter's deliberations ultimately aim to put God back at the center of Salesian life and mission.
