Brazil - Country's first Salesian school expands
Niterói, Brazil - March 2022 - The first Salesian School in Brazil, the Salesian Institute "Santa Rosa" of Niterói, inaugurated a new facility for Infant Education, thus completing the project of offering all segments of basic education: kindergarten, elementary and secondary school. The event was attended by the Archbishop of Niterói, Msgr. José Francisco Rezende, Fr Natale Vitali, Salesian Provincial of Belo Horizonte (BBH), the entire management team, representatives of the Prefecture, the local team of educators, and other leading figures from the municipal education sector. Fr Vitali and Fr Marcio José Montandon Marçal opened the ceremony with the blessing of the bust of Don Bosco, the oldest in Brazil. Then at the entrance of the building, with the image of Mary Help of Christians present in the space dedicated to children, the Archbishop and the Provincial cut the ribbon and inaugurated the space for Children's Education, blessing all the rooms and environments. The new facility welcomes the youngest children in classrooms specially designed to ensure the greatest possible comfort, as well as being set up to ensure that students have all the resources they need for healthy and enjoyable growth.
