(ANS – Warsaw) – On 25th June 2017 Salesians in Poland celebrated the 25th anniversary of the presence of the Salesian Mission Procure in its current location in Warsaw. Salesian Mission Procure was established in 1981. There were two temporary offices: first one in Lodz, after which it moved to Warsaw.

St. John Bosco Community House was erected in 1991 by the Rector Major of the Salesians - Fr Egidio Viganò. Since then, it has been a home for all missionaries.

On Saturday Jubilee Mass was celebrated under Bishop Jerzy Mazur, SVD, Headmaster of the Commission for Missions at the Polish Bishop Conference. In the homily, the Bishop emphasized that it is necessary to continually stir up the flame of faith and pass it on to others. He pointed out that Salesian missionaries and volunteers are committed to work and fully devoted to missions.

After the Mass, the memorial plaque was unveiled. It presents the old and new logo of the Salesian Mission Procure and the images of the builders of this house: Fr. Bronisław Kant (1930 - 2016) and Fr. Wladyslaw Ciszewski (1938 - 2013).
