(ANS – Bangalore) – The 12th Annual National Convention of all Don Bosco TVET centers of India is being held from 03rd – 05th February 2023 at Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore (Karnataka). The Convention was graced by Fr. Biju Michael, (Regional Councilor, South-Asia); Fr. Davis MJ (Provincial Incharge and President of Don Bosco Tech Society); Fr. George Mathew (Executive Director, Don Bosco Tech Society); Fr. Noble George (Asst. Director, Don Bosco Tech Society) and Fr. Joseph Elavanal (Director, DBSM). The convention saw a participation of about 100 members which consists of Technical Commission Head and Principals and Directors of TVET centers from the 11 provinces in India along with National and State team members of Don Bosco Tech Society.

(ANS - Padua) - An event to celebrate the centenary of the proclamation of St. Francis de Sales as Patron Saint of Journalists and Writers will take place in Padua on January 28, 2023, organized by the Italian Catholic Press Union (UCSI) and the Salesian International Higher Institute of Educational Research (ISRE). Scheduled at the Theological Study Hall of the Basilica of St. Anthony, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. (UTC+1), the event shall also contribute to an in-depth discussion of some of the themes proposed by Pope Francis in his recent apostolic letter "Totum amoris est" (Everything pertains to love) on the figure of the holy bishop of Geneva.

(ANS) - On Nov. 10 and 11, about 1,500 educators from the American continent participated in the webinar organized by the Salesian School of America (ESA, in Spanish) with the collaboration of the Chilean provincial communication team. This formative moment took place in the 4 languages spoken on the continent - Spanish, Portuguese, English, French - and reflected on the charismatic legacy of the Preventive System in harmony with the Global Compact on Education advocated by Pope Francis.

(ANS – Shillong) – The International Symposium on the Salesian Charism and Don Bosco in Northeast India was held at the “Sacred Heart Theological College”, Mawlai, from 20th –23rd September, 2022. The Symposium was held as part of the centenary celebration of the first arrival of the Salesians of Don Bosco to Northeast India in 1922. The three full days Symposium was packed with many resource persons from different parts of the mission of the three Salesian provinces of Guwahati, Dimapur, and Shillong of Northeast India.

(ANS - Lombriasco) - After the positive response of the first edition of Expo "AgriCultura" Lombriasco, the second edition entitled "Hortus: Agriculture for Life", with important new features, takes place from September 29 to October 2, 2022, at the Salesian Agricultural School of Lombriasco (Via San Giovanni Bosco, 7 - Lombriasco - Turin), in the land of St. John Bosco.

(ANS - Barcelona) - Under the motto "Dare, trust, live!", a new edition of "Campobosco," a Salesian youth spirituality meeting that this year brings together 774 participants, aged 19 and older, belonging to the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Spain and Portugal, began last Saturday, July 30.

(ANS - Rome) - Nearly 6 years after the previous International Congress, held in Rome, in 2016, the 12th International Congress of the NGO "Voluntary International Women, Education and Development" (VIDES), the International Association promoted by the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, with UN Consultative Status, was held from July 1 to 5, at Ciampino, on the outskirts of Rome. Among the 150 participants from about 30 countries - VIDES members, youth, adults, and FMA sisters: Mother Chiara Cazzuola, Mother General of the FMA, and the General Councilor for Youth Ministry, Sister Runita Galve Borja.

(ANS - Rome) - An event on the theme "Auxilium Faculty: female perspectives for Rome as an Educating City" was held yesterday, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, in the Sala della Protomoteca on the Capitol Hill in Rome, organized by the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences "Auxilium," in collaboration with the Municipalities XIII and XIV of the Municipality of Rome, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (1872-2022).

(ANS - Quito) - The VI International Seminar and Plenary Session of the IUS Education Group of the Salesian Institutions of Higher Education (IUS) took place from April 26th to 28th, at the Quito campus of the Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador with the participation of authorities, professors, and researchers from 22 Salesian universities from America, Asia, and Europe.
