(ANS – Karthoum) – Since 15 April Sudan has been struggling with a bloody internal war that broke out after weeks of power struggles. According to the WHO, there are more than 900 dead and more than 6,000 injured, while the number of people forced to flee their homes is around 2.2 million. The Missioni Don Bosco Mission Office in Turin has therefore launched an appeal for Salesian missionaries to receive basic necessities to be distributed to the people most affected by the conflict.
(ANS – Krishnanagar) - Don Bosco Tech and LTI Mindtree signed up for skill training focusing on East and North East India. The formal inauguration of the partnership kicked off with an event at Don Bosco ITI, Krishnanagar, West Bengal, the centre of skill training. The event was organized on June 16 by the Provincial leadership team from the Province of Kolkata and CSR Leadership from LTI Mindtree company.
(ANS – Belgium) - On Saturday 1 July 2023, Fr. Bart Decancq was officially installed as the provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Flanders and the Netherlands. During the Salesian-style celebration, the installation took place and the necessary documents were signed in the presence of Fr. Roman Jachimowicz, the Regional Councillor for Central and Northern Europe region.

Myanmar – Tragedy of Innocent Children in the midst of Armed Conflicts(ANS – Naypyidaw) - Myanmar finds itself immersed in profound grief and anguish as innocent lives, particularly those of children, continue to be mercilessly lost in the enduring armed conflicts. Families are left devastated by the tragic loss of their loved ones while the relentless violence shows no signs of abating. This week, a heartfelt plea from Myanmar reached our community, shedding light on the heart-wrenching death of a young girl Juliet in a military airstrike, prompting a unified call for prayers and action.

Italy – Artificial Intelligence and "The Oratory". Two events for reflection and debate at UPS(ANS – Rome) – The Faculty of Social Communication Sciences (FSC) of the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS), based in Rome, is promoting two events in May, the month in which the World Day of Social Communications is celebrated (this year, Sunday 12th) as well as the anniversary of the charismatic Letter from Rome by Don Bosco (10 May). They will explore the dimension of communication in its current and future panorama and the continuing relevance of the Salesian presence among young people at risk. These issues will be addressed through the presentation of a book on "Artificial Intelligence. In search of humanity", Thursday 16 May 2024, and the screening of the film "The Oratory", Friday 17th.

RMG – Communication 60 years after "Inter Mirifica"(ANS – Rome) – On 14 December 1963, the Council's Inter Mirifica Decree on the instruments of social communication was promulgated. The title already looked with admiration at the field of communication, encouraging the Church to support the media. Which is seen to be beautiful and fair.
