(ANS - Castelnuovo Don Bosco) – Recharging oneself of Don Bosco's spirit and transmitting it to one's peers, what over 250 young people of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) of Europe and the Middle East have done this summer during the "Confronto Salesian Youth Movement 2017." Today, on the 202nd birthday of the Saint of the Young, the meeting's concluding events and relocation of Don Bosco's relic are scheduled at the Basilica of Colle Don Bosco.
(ANS - Brasilia) - In 2009, the relics of the Saint of the Young began their peregrination across the globe. For five years, they were brought to the many places Salesians work at the service of young people who are poor and needy. In 2015, to celebrate the the 200th anniversary of Don Bosco's birth, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, decided that five relics would be placed in five important Salesian locations in the world, and one of the chosen locations was: Brasilia.
Brasilia, Brazil - July 2017 - The urn containing a famous relic of Don Bosco arrived last weekend in Brasilia's "São João Bosco" parish in the Núcleo Bandeirante district which celebrated its 60th anniversary on 16 July. Don Bosco's urn will remain in the parish for worship by the faithful until July 23. It will continue its pilgrimage to various parishes until it arrives at the "Santuario Dom Bosco", where it will be on permanent exhibition. Brasilia was elected by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, to host the urn because of the strong bond between the city and Don Bosco who saw its construction in a prophetic dream.
(ANS - Rome) – Two-week of waiting, with investigating authorities working professionally and silently and hundreds of thousands of Don Bosco's faithful and sympathizers praying, and yesterday, Thursday, June 15, the ampoule containing a part of Don Bosco's brain was found. The news was met with a huge sigh of relief, a happy ending of the affair; great, indeed, the joy and gratitude of the entire Salesian Family.
RMG - Recovered the relic of Don Bosco. "We thank God and all those who have helped and supported us"
(ANS - Rome) - "We are deeply happy to recover the relic of Don Bosco. We thank God for the quick and happy conclusion of the incident, along with all those who have helped and supported us these days: the Asti carabinieri (Italian Police), all the authorities who collaborated, and in general thousands and thousands of people who have been praying these days and have been close to us.

Many Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) and other groups of the Salesian Family (SF) have enriched this synodal journey, focusing on young people and their integral development. What are today's demands of us in the educational field? How are we building the Salesian School of the future? Can we further strengthen this great Salesian educational network in America? Some FMAs and Salesians who were at the first meeting in 1994, share their experience and their vision of how this journey has allowed a growth in the understanding of the youth reality, in the strategic decisions within the Provinces themselves and in the challenges that emerge for Salesian education.
