(ANS - Rome) - Almost certainly a great number of readers have been receiving the monthly Salesian Bulletin (SB) for many years. One often happens to hear that their parents, grandparents and perhaps even great-grandparents read the SB. But perhaps not everyone knows how it came into being and why 146 years ago Don Bosco conceived, produced and popularized it.
(ANS – Rome) - Don Bosco was a priest and educator attentive to the signs of the times. Intuitively, he realised that he could have done much more for the poor and abandoned youth in the city of Turin — and then in the whole world — if he had also dedicated a lifetime to “spreading good books among the people with all the means suggested by ardent charity.” In an 1885 letter he wrote: “This is one of the most important apostolates that Divine Providence has entrusted to me; and you know that I have worked tirelessly, even though engaged in a thousand other occupations.”
(ANS) - During past 20 years most of the Salesian Family pilgrims to the Holy Places of Don Bosco in Piedmont are helped by the 'Fr Giraudo - Fr Biancardi' publication 'Qui e' vissuto Don Bosco' (Don Bosco Lived Here), translated already to many languages, including also Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
(ANS – Rome) - We continue with the publication of articles in the series "Don Bosco and Digital and Virtual Reality," written by Fr. Gildasio Mendes, General Councilor for Social Communication. In this month's article, dreams are the protagonists.
(ANS – Chennai) – In view of the revamping, renewing and relaunching of the Oratories and Youth Centres of the Chennai province with the theme: ‘BE SALESIAN – BE SYNODAL INM’, a one day animation was held on 12 March at the Salesian Provincial House, Chennai for the leaders of the Oratories and Youth Centres.
The birth of the first Salesian bookbindery is an epic moment of great importance for Don Bosco. However, his objective was much broader: he planned to manage the entire cycle of publishing production on his own, putting himself forward as an all-round true and proper Catholic publisher.

MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS FROM HERE TO THE WORLD
THE MESSAGE OF THE RECTOR MAJOR, Card. Ángel Fernández Artime
Dear readers of the Salesian Bulletin,
My affectionate and cordial greetings during this Easter season. In a world in turmoil, agitated by armed conflicts and no small amount of violence, we continue to declare, announce, and proclaim that Jesus is Lord, raised by the Father, and that he LIVES. We strongly need His Presence in hearts willing to welcome Him.
